Penny is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Macquarie University. She has been in private practice for the last 18 years.
Penny works mainly with women on life-stage issues such as the antenatal and perinatal periods, parenting, peri-menopause, menopause, and the empty nest.
She has a particular interest in the perinatal period, specifically in areas such as attachment, birth trauma, stillbirth, settling issues, and adjustment to parenting. Penny is also interested in relationship issues during the perinatal period, particularly those involving traditional gender roles or narcissistic traits.
Penny is curious, warm, and empathic. She truly understands that parenting can be a challenging job!
Her therapeutic approach is largely informed by attachment theory, and she prefers relational therapies, such as Psychodynamic Therapy.
