Facebook peer support groups

Connect with an online village

These online groups are coordinated and moderated by GFA and are a private, safe space for new and expectant parents (with children up to school age) in Australia to share their lived experience and find connection, kindness and compassionate peer support. We have three different groups so you can connect with people who understand what you are feeling.

Facebook peer support groups

Connect with your online village

Not just another Facebook group

Our Facebook groups are moderated by us, to ensure you're held in a private, safe and kind space where you can share lived experiences. We have three different groups for new and expectant parents in Australia. Connect with a community who may understand how you are feeling.

We offer three different Facebook peer support groups

The Facebook group is coordinated and moderated by Gidget Foundation Australia and is aimed at creating a safe space connecting expectant parents with the Foundation and with each other. The groups do not provide immediate or crisis support.

How to join
  1. Request to join one of our three Village groups.
  2. Answer some simple questions.

From our community
Part of the reason I love this group is that I can freely express how I feel and know that at least one other mamma is feeling the same way."
Emma
It’s great having a safe forum that I can ask what may seem like trivial blokey questions with zero judgement."
Andrew
It’s a relief to get others' views (without judgement) and know I’m not alone."
Danielle
A group for dads only is a really good idea. It takes away any awkwardness and allows dads to feel like they can share more freely."
Dave
Gidget Foundation Australia also offers free group treatment counselling programs.
