Lucy joined Gidget Foundation Australia in 2023 and is now working as Programs Coordinator. She couldn’t be more enthusiastic about being part of this dynamic team.

For the first phase of her career, Lucy worked on planning and managing large-scale, community-based events in Sydney, including the Paralympics and Centenary of Federation celebrations. In the next season of her career, her focus shifted entirely to the incredibly intimate world of childbirth.

In 2005, Lucy began building and developing her own startup venture, Sydney Birth Support, providing doula support to mothers in the perinatal season. After many years of observing the toll this period can take on a woman's emotional well-being and mental health, Lucy launched her own e-commerce business, LucyLou Mother Nurture, in 2020, providing pregnancy support and childbirth education.

Having seven children of her own and being a foster mum to others, Lucy understands what’s involved in motherhood :) She's passionate about this season of life and feels it’s her life’s calling to champion all mums everywhere through what she knows can be a truly wild season.
