Lisa joined the Gidget Foundation Australia team in her first role of Digital Manager in January 2019 and is now in the role of Fundraising Director as of July 2024.
Prior to Fundraising Director, Lisa spent two years in the role of Digital and Community Fundraising Director, responsible for the website, social media, individual giving and community fundraising, appeals and campaign, the Gidget Angel lived experience program, Gidget Virtual Village online support groups, online brand awareness, and driving growth digitally.
As a past member of the Gidget Founders, Lisa managed the Foundation’s social media on a voluntary basis for 6 years before joining the team in 2019.
In 2023, Lisa was bestowed the honour of becoming a Gidget Guardian.
Lisa’s personal experience of chronic mental ill health led her to support and inspire others through sharing her own story and through her work in the charity sector.
Lisa has been in a variety of fundraising, marketing, program and event management, and digital roles in the NFP sector for more than 20 years, having worked with some of Australia’s most respected charities and agencies including Youth Off The Streets, Cancer Council NSW, HeartKids, Leukaemia Foundation, The Shepherd Centre, McGrath Foundation, Donor Republic, and more.
Lisa is a passionate solo mother, self-professed neat freak, lover of all things digital, and writer.
In her spare time, she loves connecting with her teen son, hosting and cooking for family and friends, taking and sharing beautiful photos, volunteering, reading, writing and using social media for good.
