Jo is a Registered Psychologist of 14 years. Jo has a background as a military psychologist and has worked across diverse settings with individuals and groups. This includes sporting teams, the performing arts, men’s mental health, and the Veteran community and their families. Jo holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Wollongong, and a Master of Applied Psychology (Sport& Exercise) from University of Queensland.

Jo has a practical, down to earth style, person centred approach, and enjoys working collaboratively with clients on a variety of presenting issues. Jo draws upon therapeutic approaches including CBT, ACT,Schema Therapy, and maintains an attachment theory focused approach. Jo understands the importance of supporting parents during the vulnerable perinatal period, to improve parental and infant/child wellbeing and outcomes.

Jo’s special interests include perinatal adjustment, anxiety, trauma, anger, and working with fathers/partners. Jo has a young family and understands the joys and challenges of the perinatal period.
