Jess is the Workforce Development Program Team Leader and an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 25 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy and mental health care in both community and inpatient settings. She is registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and holds a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master’s in Mental Health Science, and an Advanced Diploma of Management. Additionally, she is accredited to provide non-directive pregnancy counselling. Throughout her career, Jess has held roles focused on clinical supervision, group reflective practice, research, training, and consultation. She has a special interest in supporting mental health clinicians across various disciplines to build long, fulfilling careers while preventing burnout and psychological injury.

Jess is committed to inclusivity and supporting all types of families to thrive. She takes a collaborative and strengths-focused approach to therapy, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities to tailor care to each person’s needs. While experienced in many areas of mental health, Jess is particularly passionate about perinatal work, which she considers the most rewarding aspect of her practice. She provides individualized, responsive care to people facing challenges related to birth trauma, adjustment to parenting, and attachment. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals with anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, OCD, eating disorders, and body image concerns.
