Jasmyne is an accredited mental health social worker with a warm, compassionate approach that helps clients feel comfortable from the very first session. She is dedicated to tailoring therapy to meet each client's unique needs. Her work is rooted in a strengths-based, client-centered approach, and she believes in the inherent abilities of every individual, helping clients discover and apply these strengths as they navigate challenges.
In your initial session, Jasmyne will take the time to understand your past and present, working with you to develop a personalised treatment plan. This plan may involve managing the emotional, physical, and cognitive adjustments related to pregnancy and parenthood, developing strategies to cope with anxiety, stress, and burnout, and improving low mood. Jasmyne also supports clients in dealing with grief and loss, identifying and communicating emotions, and shifting unhelpful behavioural and thought patterns.
Jasmyne’s areas of expertise include trauma, perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. With over 8 years of experience in various settings, including community mental health and private practice, she has a deep understanding of how to support individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments.
Drawing on evidence-based practices such as Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and attachment theory, Jasmyne adopts a holistic approach, addressing the whole person to foster healing and resilience.
