Graeme is a distinguished lawyer, author, and company director, known for his autobiography Finding A Way. He has led significant initiatives, such as the merger of four blindness agencies into Vision Australia, where he also served as Chair. Graeme is currently a Director of the National Disability Insurance Agency and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, and he is the Chancellor of Central Queensland University.

With over 30 years in human rights, Graeme has been instrumental in advancing disability rights, including leading Australia’s ratification of a UN convention on the rights of people with disabilities during his nine years as a Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission. He was awarded an AM for his work on the development of the Disability Discrimination Act.
