Eliza Hull is an award-winning musician, writer, and disability advocate. Eliza is a proud disabled woman with a physical disability called Charcot-Marie-Tooth. She is the editor and creator of the book "We’ve Got This" about parenting with a disability, which features parents who identify as Disabled, Deaf, or Chronically Ill. The book has been released in Australia and internationally.
She has been a guest on The Today Show, The BBC, The Drum, ABC News Breakfast, ABC’s Q&A, Studio 10, and ABC Radio. She is also a contributor to the anthologies "Growing Up Disabled in Australia" and "Teacher Teacher." Eliza is a regular writer for the ABC and wrote the ABC Kids show "And Then Something Changed" about a child with a disability. She recently released the children’s book "Come Over To My House" internationally, which authentically represents various families with disabilities.
She has spoken at the Human Rights Convention "Free and Equal," SXSW in America and Australia, Bigsound Festival, for the NDIS, DARU, Brunswick Music Festival, The Wheeler Centre, and at Parliament House. Eliza is also a musician and has had her music used in TV and film including "Awkward," "The Heights," and "Teen Wolf." She has performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Natural History Museum in London, and The Melbourne Recital Centre. She recently toured in America and the UK.
Recently, Eliza was awarded the Music Victoria Amplify Award, the APRA mentorship for women in music, the National Leadership Award from the Australia Council and Arts Access Australia, as well as the Women in Music Award.
