Bery joined Gidget Foundation Australia in 2023, bringing seven years of experience in clinical practice management to her role. Overseeing Client Operations and Service Delivery Management for the Gidget House and Start Talking programs, Bery provides operational management and support to Client Services, Clinician Administration, and Clinical Intake staff.
Having completed a Master's in International Relations from UNSW with a focus on feminist development and gendered autonomy, Bery’s professional experience is underpinned by a passion for achieving positive outcomes for women, especially those from historically underprivileged backgrounds. Her lived experience as a Kurdish refugee is invaluable to her contributions to the CALD group, providing a first-hand understanding of how individuals from CALD communities may experience mental health and the perinatal period differently.
