Amelia is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her master of Clinical Psychology and PhD at the University of Sydney. Amelia is also a research fellow at Macquarie University, where she leads research projects into areas such as anxiety, sleep problems, and living with chronic health conditions.
Amelia focusses on building a supportive and collaborative relationship with her clients, and approaches psychotherapy with warmth and curiosity. She has a strong interest in supporting individuals and couples as they face the challenges that arise within the journey of conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and being a new parent. As with her research, she has clinical interests in treating anxiety and sleep problems.
Amelia draws on a range of evidence-based techniques in her treatment, which she selects and tailors to suit her clients' unique circumstances. These approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and attachment-based therapy.
