Lucy joined Gidget Foundation Australia in 2023 as Client Services Executive based at Gidget House North Sydney and couldn’t be more enthusiastic about joining the dynamic team.

For the first phase of her career, Lucy worked on planning and managing some of the largest and most iconic events in the city of Sydney including; the Paralympics and Centenary of Federation celebrations. For the next season of her career, her focus of events shifted entirely - to the incredibly intimate world of childbirth.

In 2005, Lucy commenced building and developing her own successful startup venture; Sydney Birth Support, supporting mothers in the perinatal season. More recently, Lucy has been copywriting for an international maternity retailer on pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and the postnatal period.

After many years of identifying the toll this period can take on the emotional wellbeing and mental health of a woman, in 2020 Lucy launched her own ecommerce business, LucyLou Mother Nurture; providing emotional support and pregnancy and childbirth education.

Having seven children of her own and being a foster mum to others, Lucy understands what’s involved in motherhood :) She's passionate about this season of life and feels it’s her life ‘calling’ to champion all mums everywhere, through what she understands can be a truly wild season.
